Soul And Deeds Purification

Zakat (purification of the soul and deeds) is often mentioned as a result of Salat (reaching out to God) and it has a broader meaning than what is traditionally believed.

[9:11] But if they repent, reach out to God, and purify their souls, then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the verses for a people who know.

[9:71] The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and reach out to God and purify their souls and deeds and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

[21:73] And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, Reaching out to us, and purifying their souls and deeds; and they were worshippers of Us.

[22:41] [And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, Reach out to us and purify their souls and deeds of and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.

[22:78] And strive for God a genuine striving. He is the One who has chosen you, and He has made no hardship for you in the religion, the creed of your father Abraham; He is the One who named you "Muslimeen' from before and in this. So let the messenger be witness over you and you be witness over the people. So reach out to God and purify your souls ammd deeds and hold tight to God, He is your patron. What an excellent Patron, and what an excellent Supporter.

[23:1] The believers are indeed successful.

[23:2] Those who are humble as they reach out to God.

[23:3] And they abstain from vain talk.

[23:4] And the ones who purify their souls and deeds.

[24:37] By men not distracted by trade or sale from the remembrance of God and each out to him and purify their souls and deeds. They fear a Day when the hearts and sight will be overturned.

[41:1] He meem

[41:2] A revelation from the Almighty, the Merciful.

[41:3] A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know,

[41:4] A bearer of good news, and a Warner. But most of them turn away; they do not hear.

[41:5] And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working."

[41:6] Say, "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah 

[41:7] "The ones who do not purify their souls and deeds, and with regards to the Hereafter, they are disbelievers."

[41:8] Surely, those who believe and do good works, they will receive recompense that will not end.

[58:13] Have you feared to present before your consultation charities? Then when you do not and Allah has forgiven you, then [at least] reach out to God and purify your souls and deeds and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

[98:5] And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to reach out to him and purify their souls and deeds. And that is the correct religion.

Spending in the way of God, tax and charity are all part of the Zakat... Read the following verse and realize [2:260-286] just an example... Make a search for charity "Sdaqat" and spending in God's way "Infaq".


And here is the Tax verse:

[8:41] And know that anything you profit, one-fifth shall go to God and the messenger, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the wayfarer. You will do this if you believe in God and in what We revealed to Our servant on the Day of the Criterion, the day the two armies clashed; and God is capable of all things.

An here is the Verses that proofs my rightful understanding of the word "Zakat":

[91:7] And [by] the soul and He who made it.

[81:8] Thus He enabled it to be wicked and righteous.

[91:9] Successful is the one who purifies it.

[91:10] Doomed is the one who pullote it.
